AE Civil engaged Blackbox to capture the complex relocation of a Komatsu 4100XPC, one of the world’s largest mining shovels, with a payload capacity of up to 108.9 tonnes, as it was transported 8.86 kilometres through Moranbah. Our team documented the entire operation through a combination of time-lapse, drone, and on-ground video, showcasing the extraordinary engineering and logistics required to move a machine of this scale. The journey involved constructing temporary bridges over roads and rail lines, coordinating multiple teams, and executing a meticulously planned transport sequence. Blackbox provided a detailed visual record of the operation, highlighting the precision, safety, and collaboration behind this impressive feat of heavy-equipment relocation.
