Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET) is an industry-owned, privately funded coal terminal in Gladstone and one of Australia’s most significant export infrastructure projects. Blackbox was engaged to provide end-to-end visual documentation, including time-lapse, video production, and professional photography throughout the build.

A standout milestone was the transportation of the massive shiploader, manufactured in Malaysia specifically for the project. To capture this pivotal moment, our team travelled from Brisbane to document every stage of the move, from the intricate loading process in Malaysia, to its journey by sea, and finally its arrival and positioning on-site in Gladstone. The result was a comprehensive visual record that showcased the scale, engineering expertise, and coordination behind one of WICET’s most defining components.
